I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Texas at Dallas. My scholarly interests are at the intersection of conflict studies and computational methods. This includes the causes of militarized conflict, peacekeeping and other forms of military cooperation, conflict forecasting, machine learning, and methods for the content analysis of news reports.

My work is published in Political Science journals such as Political Analysis and Journal of Peace Research, as well as Computer Science conference proceedings including IEEE Big Data and ACM Intelligent User Interfaces. My research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
